The Dance Works Company is a performance company that provides its members an opportunity to perform in a concert setting, work with a wide variety of talented choreographers and dancers and expand their dance education.
The Company has performed in a variety of venues, including performances with the Enid Symphony Orchestra, the Storm basketball games, the Gaslight Theatre, the PEGASYS VideoFest, Leonardo's Discovery Warehouse, the Miss Enid Pageant, the Medieval Garden Faire, as well as guest performers at the University of Central Oklahoma and the Wichita Children's Dance Festival.
Dance Works Company members filmed a Braum's commercial at the Enid Symphony Center for Lerner Films of Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Company has also presented numerous concerts including: To the Beat of a Different Drum, Art Sauce, Dreams Wild, City Lites, The Magical Slipper, The Nutcracker, All Jazzed Up!, Starstruck and Spotlights.
The goal of the Company is to entertain, educate and present dance as an art.
Students learn a repertoire of choreography throughout the year and dancers are auditioned and chosen for Company dance pieces according to ability and age appropriateness.
Dance Works students are provided with many opportunities to attend seminars and workshops at colleges and universities throughout the region!
