Performance Awards

 

The Performance Awards Program is an extra study track for the serious ballet student, is sponsored by The American Academy of Ballet, and offered to the ballet CORE students.

This program incorporates disciplined learning, attainable goals and award for accomplishment. Year end examinations by The American Academy of Ballet are offered but not mandatory.

Because ballet is a rigorous and disciplined activity, students learn skills they can use the rest of their lives whether they dance professionally or pursue another field entirely. Students learn technique very carefully and correctly. They learn to keep time to music and perform in a concert setting. They develop a love for the art of ballet. Ballet becomes a positive, challenging experience.
